Whilst I sit here, with it snowing outside, I dream of warm weather! Don’t get me wrong, I do love the snow, but I’m really not good with being cold. The thought of travelling to a hot country, chilling with my boy, enjoying lovely food and drink, makes me so happy. The Hubster and I try our best to holiday once a year. You may even remember me sharing my last holiday in this summer holiday outfits post.
For as long as I can remember, when we travel as a couple we holiday all-inclusive. For us it just makes total sense. And I wanted to share with you some reasons why it’s such a good idea to go all-inclusive, just incase you’re planning your next holiday and don’t know if it is for you! So here you lovely lot are 5 reasons why you should holiday all-inclusive.
This post is written in association with Holiday Gems*.
1. It is Good Value
When looking for an all-inclusive holiday, the total figure for the holiday can seem like a lot of money. But in fact, it is often a much cheaper way to enjoy your trip. Just think about a break you would piece together, such as stopping in a bed and breakfast, or even half-board. You really need to take into account how much spending money you will need as well as paying for the price of the holiday. This would be for food and drinks as well as anything else you may want to purchase. It can very easily add up without you realising.
Of course if you holiday all-inclusive you will probably want to take spending money for trips, gifts and perhaps popping for a drink at a bar locally, but this would no way need to be as much as when stopping in a non-all inclusive hotel. Holiday Gems have flexible payments available and low deposits from £20 per person so you have many options. Click here to find some really great value all-inclusive holidays.
2. The Ease of it All
Another plus of holidaying all-inclusive is the ease of it all. From the moment you book, until the end of your holiday, it is just so simple and straightforward! For example when booking with Holiday Gems, it is really easy to book your holiday. Just type in your travel preferences and the website offers you lots of different options with various travel companies. Initially you choose your flight and then it offers you hotels that work with the flights and different room options. You are then able to add on any transfers you fancy and cancellation protection if you feel you might need it. Then simply fill in your details and you’re sorted! This barely takes 10 minutes online to do and your holiday is all booked! If you decide to book with Holiday Gems, you can book with confidence knowing that their holidays are ATOL protected.
Then once you’re at hotel, you barely need to lift a finger. You rock up to the restaurant when it’s time to eat, and you can enjoy a massive range of yummy food cooked by amazing chefs. And then whenever you fancy a drink you just pop over to the bar and order away! Some hotels may even come to you to offer you a drink or a bite to eat whilst you’re chilling on your sun lounger! You don’t even need to worry about having any money on you during the day whilst at the hotel. Many hotels just require your room card to swipe or a wrist pass they give you at the beginning of your holiday.
3. Fun for All the Family
As I’ve mentioned, I usually holiday all-inclusive just me and my husband. However, the hotels we have stayed at have so much going on for all the family. Whether that be kids clubs, activities and epic pools with slides, you’re bound to be onto a winner if you’re holidaying with a family. They also have plenty of activities for adults too so you needn’t feel left out. Sports clubs and classes a plenty, there is bound to be something for everyone. All inclusive hotels often have plenty of evening entertainment too so there isn’t really any need to leave your hotel at night!
4. You Get to Try New Things
Whether it’s a variety of food at the restaurants, drinks from the bar, or fun activities at the hotel, stopping all-inclusive means that you have so many opportunities to try new things. Knowing that you usually don’t need to pay additionally for these experiences means that you can really give these things a go! Often this means things related to the country that you are stopping in, that you wouldn’t normally get the chance to try.
5. Everything Is In One Place
When you stop all-inclusive, everything tends to be self-contained in the hotel you are stopping in. Whilst some all-inclusive hotels may be massive because of all the amazing facilities it contains, at least you know that you don’t have to leave the hotel complex unless you really want to. Maps tend to be dotted around the hotel, with plenty of staff on hand to help too so there is no need to get lost. Of course, many hotels offer day trips out so you can go visit places of interest locally, but this is only if you feel you want to.
As you can probably tell, I’m a big fan of all-inclusive holidays. Many of my favourite holidays (including my honeymoon) have been all-inclusive, so I’ll continue to take them for many years to come. However, I realise that they might not be for everyone. Holiday Gems have lots of other holiday options too so are definitely worth a look.
So these would be my 5 reasons why you should holiday all-inclusive. Do you go on many all-inclusive holidays? Are you a fan? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time…
