Aspire Style know I’m a teeny-weeny bit obsessed with their store (I even dedicated a blog post to them here) so they very kindly sent me complimentary tickets* to their fashion show back in March at their Solihull store (my local). Of course I jumped at the chance and instantly got very excited! I was told the evening would consist of a fashion show of new season items, plenty of prosecco, a goodie bag and 15% discount on the evening.
Now me being me, late as always, arrived at the store with just a few minutes spare before the show started. I was very excited to see that I had reserved seats in my own name, something that never normally happens to me! I grabbed my prosecco, had a quick glimpse in my goodie bag, and prepared for the show to start.
The fashion show was filled with lots of lovely models, including the beautiful girls from the Glamophones who I had seen as a previous Aspire event. Everyone at the show was also given a ‘show guide’ as a resource that gave a bit more information about the clothes being shown incase anyone wanted to get their hands on them afterwards. It was really handy to have this to refer to as the models walked up and down the catwalk. I’ve never actually been to a shop fashion show like this before and I really enjoyed seeing the clothes ‘in action’ rather than just sitting on a hanger.
Whilst I didn’t take any photos of the models doing their thing (mainly so I didn’t ruin the show for people around me!), I got plenty of pics of the items in the store that I wanted to share with you all…
How gorgeous is this tote bag from Katie Loxton? I’m in love with the colour, especially combined with the gold hardware. These trinket dishes are super cute too, especially this one using a quote from one of my fave books that I love to read to my class and say all the time.
I’m all for the puns, so when I spotted this section of the shop I wanted all of these cute items, including this fab compact. I’ve also been eyeing up these cute mugs (just about visible in the pic) for a while now, especially this fox one.
Lets just take a moment to appreciate this beautiful dress…swoon! I saw it and loved it instantly! How perfect would it be as a bridesmaid dress? Or even a wedding dress if you fancy stepping away from the typical big white dress. I can’t spot it on the website, but it is available in store if you do wanna get your hands on it.
Some more lovely goodies! These pom-poms are everywhere at the mo, and there is a great range at Aspire.
Aspire has a great range of personalised jewellery in which you can get lots of pretty pieces engraved. I recently won a cute necklace from Aspire and chose to have the name of my first dance and wedding date engraved on it and it is so special. These pieces would make really fab gifts too for the ladies in your life.
So many goodies here! Lots of bits from Last True Angel, a brand I haven’t really heard of, but oh my how pretty are these statement pieces! Plus some yummy alcohol scented items including this gin candle. I actually have the prosecco mug, lip balm and bath salts from this range (received as Christmas prezzies) and they’re fab.
My love for Cath Kidston will never subside, but never before have I spotted these cute shoesies! I also need a pair of these socks in every colour and style, they are so pretty!
Aspire often have quirky books and I love the look of this literary cocktail book. I can think of the perfect person who would love to receive this! There are lots of lovely gifts at Aspire if you’re shopping for friends and family and want a fab gift that’s a little bit different.
Here is my gorge Prosecco mug that I mentioned I have (check it out here on my Instagram!). There is also lots of lovely stationary in store if you’re a bit of a stationary addict like me. I really like this cute notebook.
Katie Loxton seems to be a brand that Aspire are loving at the moment and I can see why! The pouches and purses are so cute and pretty, all covered with different quotes. They’re simple and classic, but add a little bit more to an outfit. I want one in every colour!
Now, lets move on to these – the lovely goodies my lovely momma and I picked up…
Firstly, this packaging! Aspire always ask if you want your items wrapped in tissue paper. I always say yes, whether it’s for me or if it’s a gift as it just makes the item that little bit more special. Plus, it keeps the items extra safe and protected!
This was what I found in my goodie bag, 3 different gifts. I loved the cute flamingo print and couldn’t wait to see what else I had! And this is what was wrapped up inside…
Ahh fab pom-pom and nail file alert! I thought it was a lovely touch to give everyone a goodie bag. My mom received the same items, just in different colours/prints.
I had to start using these goodies straight away!
So these are the bits that the both of us got. I had to try to restrain myself and try not to buy the whole store and think I did well! It was great also that there was 15% discount on the evening in store so we got the items a bit cheaper.
I knew I had to get one of the pouches from Katie Loxton, so went for this cute ‘Shine Bright’ one. I think it goes really nicely with this pretty necklace and these earrings. I’m loving grey at the moment.
Here is a close up. I can’t wait to wear them together!
The pouches also come with this lovely gift bag, so perfect if you are giving one as a present.
Finally, I got myself a pair of Cath Kidston shoesies! How cute are these?! Perfect for the Spring/Summer.
So this was my experience at the fashion show event! My lovely momma and I had the best time, and would definitely like to attend the next one. Find out if you have an Aspire near you by checking out their website, and make sure you follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest if you want to keep up to date with their events (and of course swoon over their fab pics!)
So which item(s) did you like best? Have you ever visited Aspire, or do you have a similar shop near you that you love? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time…
* I received complimentary tickets to this fashion show as Aspire know how much of a fan I am of their store. I suggested to them about sharing my experience with my lovely readers, however all opinions are my own and I received no form of payment for writing this blog post. I’m just enthusiastic about the shop and wanted to share it with you all!
