So February is coming to an end so I thought I better share my February faves with you lovely lot! Like most months, I’m not too sure where it disappeared to, but that is fine with me as it is one month closer to meeting my baby girl! So let’s get on to what I was loving this month…
1. Valentine’s Day
So I always look forward to Valentine’s Day once February arrives. I know to some people it’s an over-commercialised no-no, and that’s fine. But to me, it’s the best excuse to tell my other half just how much I love him, and for us to actually spend time together. This year, he surprised me with these lovely goodies. They were some flowers, a card from him, a card “from the bump”, and a cake “from the bump” too! How seriously cute is he?! My husband knows I love flowers around the house, especially when they are in pretty colours like these. The card from him was personalised with some special pics, and it was so lovely he got me some bits from our bubba to be too.
On the evening, we went out for a lovely meal at our local Miller and Carter. I must say, the food was so good! Plus, it was really lovely to be out together and catch up. After all, it’s our last Valentine’s just the 2 of us, so we wanted to make the most of it.
2. Gender Announcement
Right at the end of last month, we found out the gender of our baby. So in February, it was time to announce it to family and friends. It was so much fun! I had purchased this New Look maternity top from ASOS for the big reveal and I liked the fact that it was a bit different to normal. And of course, we then had to go shopping and buy something cute for our baby girl! I have since spent the rest of the month buying cute girlie clothes and really need to try to restrain myself now….haha!
3. Pamper Time
I picked up these Sanctuary goodies from Boots in the January sale, but it wasn’t until February that I started using them. I must say, I got totally obsessed with the Wet Skin Moisture Miracle last Summer after getting lots of samples, and it even made my August Faves. But when they had finished I didn’t end up rebuying the product for some crazy reason. So when I saw this gift set for only a tenner, I knew I needed it in my life!
I’m obsessed with the scent and am so pleased with the products. I use the body wash daily, followed by the moisture miracle, and my skin is left so soft. I also used the luxury bath float in a bath I had last weekend, and was so impressed with how little I actually needed to make the bath super bubbly. After using these products I feel so lovely and pampered, which is definitely needed at the moment.
4. Boston Tea Party
It wasn’t until near the end of February that I visited Boston Tea Party for the very first time, because they are opening one up in my local town centre. I was very lucky to visit during their preview weekend before the big opening so actually got to try the food for free! I was also visiting to arrange an event I will be having in a few weeks which I’m very excited about. My lovely momma and I enjoyed brunch there and this was what I chose - Sourdough Eggy Bread with Smoked Bacon and Avocado. It was so good! My mom had the West Country Breakfast and really enjoyed hers too. I’ve heard good things about BTP in general, and our visit certainly didn’t disappoint. I hope I can visit again in March.
5. Pretty Dresses
So if you read my latest blog post, 5 Beautiful Wedding Dresses Under £200, you’ll have seen the pretty dresses I shared. And I must say, throughout February, and especially whilst writing the blog post, I have spent so long eyeing up dresses that I totally love. The dresses shared in the post are from Milly Bridal, and whilst some of them you could definitely wear for a wedding, there are plenty that would be great for other special occasions too. I definitely think I’m going to have to treat myself to a few, especially because they are such good value for money. I just hope I’ll be able to squeeze into them post-baby!
So these would have to be my February faves. What did you love throughout the month? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time…
