So it’s that time of the month again…monthly favourites time! October. as ever, has been a whirlwind of a month. And, I can’t believe it’ll very soon be November – Christmas is definitely in sight! Read on if you want to know my October faves, just what exactly I was loving this month…
1. Hariam Jewellery
This month I was very kindly sent* some bracelets from Hariam Jewellery. A blogger friend of mine actually runs the business and I spotted her lovely creations over on her business Instagram page. She has gorgeous product photography and when I commented on how much I loved the products, she said she would love to send me a few bracelets! Of course I took her up on her offer and this is what arrived. How seriously pretty?! I really like them all, especially when worn together. However, my fave has to be the star one as I’m a tad star obsessed. You can also check out Hariam Jewellery on Facebook and Twitter as well as her Etsy page.
2. Sleepy by Lush
So Sleepy is one of those products from Lush seems to be just about everywhere right now! I was interested to know if it was worth the hype, so decided to purchase my very own pot. My sleep can be really hit and miss. Sometimes I sleep like a log, other times I’m just lying awake for what feels like all night. However, over the past week or so it has been especially bad. Therefore I knew I needed to put this product to the test.
Rather than lather it all over my body, I tend to apply just a bit of this to my wrists and hands, and also my neck and the top part of my chest. This only uses up the tiniest bit of cream. I tend to put it in these places as I often sleep with my hands near my face so am able to smell this cream quite easily as I drift off. And I must say I feel like this product works for me! It smells so dreamy and feels super relaxing. Plus, when I went away overnight to Nottingham (more about that later), I didn’t pack this product and really suffered! I’ll be continuing to apply a bit of this product every night throughout November and will see if I continue to love it. I have the 95g version (£7.95) but you can also get it in a larger 215g pot (£13.95).
3. Mini Aspire Style Haul
So barely any time passes without me talking about my love for Aspire Style. Just a few weeks back I shared my picks from the recent mid-season sale in a post. I popped into my local store earlier this month when they had a 15% off event and grabbed a few bits. Usually I’m all about the jewellery, but this time I couldn’t resist these lovely looking books! I can’t wait to read them and put them into practice. I also got this cute little dish, because you can never have enough of those, right? Because of my purchases I then received this great blue ‘good vibes only’ bag and a cute little note pad as a gift. I’m off to Aspire very soon too for a fashion show (just like this one), so I’ll be sure to share that with you too! I’m taking a friend and am really excited for the event.
4. Prestige Flowers Delivery
I was very kindly sent* this bouquet flowers from Prestige this month, and as you can see they were simply stunning! I won’t go into too much detail as I’ll be posting a blog post about my experience, but I totally loved this floral treat.
5. Jingle Mingle
So if you follow me across my social media, I’m sure you’ll have seen me posting about this event over the past few days. It happened at a lovely tapas restaurant in Nottingham called Baresca, and was hosted by Prezzybox in association with Talk Becky Talk and The Perfume Studio. It was specifically designed with Midlands bloggers in mind, as so many events seem to happen in London that many of us aren’t able to get to. I’ll share more info in a blog post, but this was one of my first major events as a blogger. Let’s just say the rest have got a lot to live up to! Plus it was lovely taking a little trip away with my momma and making the most of our time in lovely Nottingham.
So these are my October faves. What do you think? What were you loving this month? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time…
*I was very kindly sent some of the products featured in this blog post. However, I was under no pressure to include them in my favourites, I just happened to love them and wanted to share them with you lot! Therefore, all opinions are my own.
