So if you’re a long-standing reader, you might remember when I did a post ‘What I Wore in a Week (Autumn Edition). That was way back last October when I had only just started the blog! I really enjoyed the post but failed to do one over the next 2 seasons. However, I recently jetted off on my holidays and thought I would share with you the outfits I wore! So here I give you what I wore in a week, the summer edition…
So we had a late night flight to our holiday destination of Cala Millor in Majorca so didn’t arrive at the hotel until the early hours of the next day. Therefore, some of our first day was spent sleeping to try to catch up! Whilst I managed to forget to take a full body outfit in my sleepy state, I did snap a pic of myself enjoying a well deserved drink by the pool. I’m wearing a cut out swimming cozzie I picked up a few years ago from Boohoo. My shades are from Next.
Our hotel was half board basis so we had a buffet every evening. On our first proper evening I wore one of my fave dresses at the moment, this cute floral number from Primark. I actually featured it in my Primark Summer Haul over on my YouTube channel last year if you fancy checking it out. Quite a few bits I wore this holiday and mention later in this post were also included in that video. You can find it here. The sandals I’m wearing this outfit, which you’ll spot a lot more throughout this post, were picked up from Tesco last year. I’m a massive fan of them and love wearing them on holiday! The finishing pieces to this outfit was a chunky gold necklace from Primark and a Katie Loxton pouch I picked up earlier this year when I attended The Aspire Style Fashion Show.
So this was my look for the second day. All of my daytime outfits are thrown over swimming costumes. The one hiding under my outfit today is a cut out number from Primark. I’ve teamed up a basic blue vest with some cute little shorts which I also featured in my haul last year. Those sandals make another appearance, as do my sunnies!
This was my look for the second evening. This dress was actually off Wowcher last year! I had a code and was drawn to it and it is actually really good for holidays. I’ve combined it with a clutch I picked up from Accessorize again last year. Most of the items I took on holiday seem to be from last year, but I went on my honeymoon last summer so I wanted lots of lovely things for that. My necklace which you can’t really see in the picture is also from Accessorize. You can see it better in this cheeky selfie I took.
On day 3 I wore a gorgeous swimming costume I had recently picked up from Next in the sale. Here it is over on my Instagram hiding behind some of my other purchases. I teamed it up with this throw over from Primark that I’ve had for a few years.
For my night-time outfit I wore this dress from Oasis that I picked up earlier this year. It’s a little oversized but I quite l like the look, plus I can cinch it in at the waist with the brown belt that came with it. I’ve popped it with a black bag I got from River Island a few months back and some sandals again from Tescos.
On day 4 I wore another basic vest, this time from Next. I combined it with some more shorts from Primark. They’re just like the Primark shorts I wore on Day 2 but in a different pattern. My beach bag was one I picked up from Tiger last year.
For the evening, I wore a cute floral sleeveless top from Warehouse and a denim skirt I had from Primark. I combined them with a choker again from Primark. I wore it with the Katie Loxton pouch that I had also taken out with me on the first night.
This was my look for day 5. Simply a organge playsuit from H&M. It’s quite see-through and creases very easily, so it is something I only wear as a throw over when I’m on holiday. I changed my sunnies to a pair I picked up last year from a shop in Turkey.
This was my look for the evening. Our hotel allowed us to dine a la carte for one of the evenings during our stay so thought I would dress up a bit more. This striped dress is one I got from M&S last year for my honeymoon. It is definitely one of my faves. Again I combined it with the Accessorize clutch and Tesco sandals.
On day 6 I wore this cute little blue number from New Look. I continued to rock my sandals and sunnies!
I wore this cute floral playsuit for the evening. It is from Missguided and I love the print. I thought it looked nice with the Accessorize clutch I had with me.
On day 7 I wore the denim skirt I had worn a few days ago with a cute little top from New Look.
We were heading home on a late night flight so I had to be flexible in what I wore – something that I wouldn’t be too hot in whilst in Majorca, but that I could cope in back in cold England too. This white vest and light trousers from New Look worked a treat, and I teamed them up with a zip-up top once on board the plane. I used this studded bag from Next to keep hold of all my important flight bits and bobs whilst still at the hotel.
So these were my outfits over the week! As you probably noticed, I wore some items more than once and with different items. If you read my recent post about what to pack for a summer holiday, you might remember that this was one of my top tips. I really try hard to pack sensibly and not got too mad! I’ll also be reviewing the hotel that my husband and I stayed at during our time in Majorca, so look out for that over the coming weeks.
So do you like my outfits? Which would be your fave? Do you like mixing and matching outfits whilst away? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time…
